PROJECT THREE

the FASHION OUTLOOK
A 6 storey fashion office that aims to redefine the industry and how the public views fashion and its making.
Fashion's process has always been very obscured from the public. Restructuring the walls that restrict and instead allowing it to connect counters this very issue.

With architecture always revolving around the spatial qualities with regards to phenomenology, there was a need for a breath of fresh air in architecture.
Starting design with the structure itself creates many opportunities for the design intent to flourish without restraints.
The party wall in the shophouse is studied to extract its unique properties. From there, edges are more restrictive than permissive.
Section Perspective
The idea of the building was to build it with trusses as the main point of contact between the public and the industry's processes.

The runway is a multipurpose area that provides to the building a feature space that showcases the processes transparently.

In the night, it transforms into a unique runway that compliments the unique building. The model starts on the 6th floor and walks down a spiral and hexagonal staircase in the middle of the feature space. Audiences can sit around the exterior of the hexagon at different heights, providing a different feel at every position.

In the day, it is used mainly to conduct guest lectures and lessons. the seatings function as an impromptu/informal set up that provides a more engaging experience for both parties.

The runway is a multipurpose area that provides to the building a feature space that showcases the processes transparently.
